Artist :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい) 川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui (May 18, 1883 - November 7, 1957)) was a woodblock print artist active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He established the world of new prints in an attempt to revive the declining Japanese ukiyoe prints. His works were highly acclaimed overseas, and he has been called the "Hiroshige of the Showa period.
