My studio is in a wine cellar, the “cave." The cave is in my basement, the “sous-sol.” I have been a teacher for 30+ years and I am inspired by decades teaching all over the world before settling in Waterbury, Vermont. I use primarily watercolor to create my art. However, I love mixed media and including gouache and acrylic in my pieces, as well as foils and inks. I am inspired to create art somewhere in between representational and abstract. I love painting bright colors and creating movement in my pieces through the use of negative space. My favorite subjects to paint are trees, florals, and animals.
