Modernfolk

The force driving modernfolk is mixed-media artist Shelton Cochran. Shelton likes to refer to himself as a visual storyteller. He calls his style of art- modern folk art. Folk Art captures the spirit of the ages-the Zeitgeist using the materials and tools of that time period. Modernfolk combines traditional folk art methods and materials with modern technology. Shelton's visual stories touch on topics ranging from art to politics to religion and everything else in between (or as Prince put it "a thing called life"). Shelton's message is a simple one "We are all Gods children living under one sun. We need, want, hope and strive for the same reasons. We just go about achieving them differently. If we acknowledge our similarities and celebrate our differences, we'll create a better world." Shelton couldn't think of a better way to share his visual stories than mini build boards or as we like to call them t-shirts. Hopefully you will find one you can "buy into."
