MerlinsRescue

We rescued Merlin from a purebred shelter in Crown Point Indiana and took him home on March 29th, 2001. He had been on Death Row at a Chicago Shelter and luckily taken in; but because of his age(6-8) and temperament he was difficult to place. At first Merlin had a difficult adjustment to our household and I have the scars to prove it. In time he came to accept us as family and actually as the head of the family. He was the center of attention at gatherings of friends and of family. He always had a place at the table every holiday meal and dinner party. Merlin always wanted things his way; voicing his displeasure with the speed of service, the wrong choice of treat or a late meal. But he also knew when you were sick or not feeling well and would lay with you and help nurse you with his purr and licks. He loved to sit in or on our cars; his brown coat accessorized well in the back shelf of the Imperial. He was by far the most intelligent and interesting feline I’ve ever met; he truly was looking back at you with his big blue eyes. He was a very special, classy guy and will be sorely missed.
