After seventeen years in higher education teaching and supporting students, I am very excited to announce my candidacy for the United States Senate. I believe we need more tough-minded, outspoken leaders in Washington who are committed to doing what is best for their state and their nation and who do not just stick to politics as usual. We need leaders who are focused on doing their jobs even when this means taking a stand. We need leaders who do not quietly go with the flow in order to get re-elected. With my background in higher education and status as a Washington outsider, I hope to bring a fresh perspective to Washington and work passionately to improve the future for Kansans and all Americans.
