Eric Hancock is an illustrator born and educated in the classic dairy state of Wisconsin with a BFA in Illustration from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Venturing playfully into the world of magical realism, his work is heavily influeced by classic fairy tales and mythologies as well as the epic media of cinema. From his earliest days of memory, he remembers begging his mother to take him to see Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi in the theatre only standing eye level with the table, which he owns to this day, covered in movie listings. Many movies and years later and not really considering what many think of him, he watches Battlestar Galactica, the reimagined series. Currently working from a modest apartment in the heart of suburban MIlwaukee, Eric is visualizing all the fantastic and mundane worlds his brain can squeeze out. On some occasions with the paint, others with the pencil. Enjoy.
