I grew up in Asheville and surrounding communities, but found myself graduating from high school in Palmdale, CA. I graduated college from UNC-Asheville with a BA degree in Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing. Two years later, I went back to get my K-6 Teaching Licensure. I currently teach in McDowell County and love it immensely.
