I am a Simplistic Realist, creating artwork that brings a moment to life. Painting onsite, both indoors and out, I capture the essence of the scene – Time places and the people as they go about their day, on the street, in the coffee shops or enjoying Racine’s natural wonders. I use Gouache paint on watercolor paper, artboard, and canvas. Gouache paint can be used with watercolor paint for watercolor effects. I want to use color to show light and shadow. Many of the painting are small works of art created during visits to coffee shops and other businesses, Capturing the moment and the positive mood. I can also create small quick portraits on the spot. If the patron is interested, I will offer their Portraits for a discounted price, as a special offer. Commissioned artwork is an offer to for people for their need and wants, or to make larger works of art from some of my other works.
