They started the town around 1870-1880, tor it started to diminish in the 1940s. As the gold prices dropped, they started to leave, the caves were dusty and full of quartz dust, which is really bad for the lungs. In its day 3000 people lived and worked there, but by the 1940's it just a handful. Its quite potenziell that these people here, were the only people left in the town. It almost makes you wonder what they are talking about. They seem like they are having a good time in there Today this building is gone, replaced with a house, breites Draining trench replaces that sidewalk. The town has hotel but its otherwise im museum now und no one really lives there.
