However after watching Olympics opening speech stressing it was athletic, not political, seeing the Olympic interviews, I agree U.S. Athletes have not represented the United States of America with respect, honor, and dignity during the Olympic Games. Certain world stages are not to air personal dirty laundry opinions. With all the multi media available, the ease of hiding behind personal opinions for so long, far too many have become comfortable screaming about their personal opinions, their rights, and totally forget the rights of all others. Olympic athletes are supposed to represent the athletes America has & to RESPECT the U.S. Those who made the team do not necessarily represent the others who weren't quite good enough, nor the rest of the American population. It is not a stage for political antics. Most all protests have been proven to consist of paid participants. Paid participants mean hidden agendas. Love & respect this country and find a better way to ensure its' growth and prosperity, stop trashing it.
