The Gothic Revelation – Ink Wash, SOUL CARE Collec

This work proposes a reflection on my own artistic methodology and the themes addressed in the book "SOUL CARE: A guide for cultivating joy and purpose in your everyday life," written by my friend, the writer Grace Diaz. The paintings shed light on the complexities inherent in the process, the poetic intensity of spirituality found in everyday life, inspired by the technical and emotional depth of Ramón Gaya and the subtlety of a light brushstroke applied in ink washes. Each piece seeks to reveal the invisible aspects of daily life and our connections to the profound and the spiritual. In this series, each stroke is a testament to introspection and narrative. The book SOUL CARE is a reflection on our experiences that we don't understand and an inward look at our own faith in daily actions and our path to peace of mind and well-being. The core of this thought is faith in our human nature and potential, and how we can increasingly open ourselves to the generosity and abundance of faith as nourishing food to guide our daily steps and decisions. The atmosphere created by these inks envelops the viewer in a timeless image where the texture and color arising from the ink's own oxidation suggest a profound connection with the scene. This project explores different pictorial and aesthetic approaches, transforming the series into a visual experience that transcends time.
