Tabby Kitten

When going through some old pictures I found a picture of a kitten I used to have and felt a desire to draw her. My hand-drawn tabby cat has a cozy, expressive charm, full of personality even in simple lines. I sketched its body with soft, slightly uneven strokes, giving the fur a fluffy, textured feel without needing too much detail. The classic tabby markings are suggested with loose stripes—curving along the sides, wrapping around the legs, and forming that familiar “M” shape on the forehead. These markings are lightly shaded or crosshatched, adding depth while keeping the drawing airy and relaxed. The face is supposed to draws you in right away. Large, rounded eyes—perhaps colored in with gentle pencil shading or ink—have tiny highlights that make them look bright and curious. The nose is small and triangular, shaded just enough to stand out, with a few fine lines radiating outward for whiskers that extend delicately across the page. Its ears are upright and alert, slightly oversized for a touch of cuteness, with faint inner details sketched in. The tail is directed upward, drawn with quick, confident strokes that hints at motion. My hand-drawn tabby gives a sense of gentle playfulness, as if it could step right out of the page at any moment.
