Kongokai Mandala

The most widely known mandala in Japan is the Ryokai Mandala and it consists of two separate mandala, the Kongokai Mandala and the Taizokai Mandala. Together they represent the central images of Esoteric Buddhism in Japan. The two mandalas are used in worship and in meditation practice as a means to achieve enlightenment for practitioners of Esoteric Buddhism.
