Jane Austen And The Bronte Sisters

A collection of designs originated from original old book covers from classic nineteenth century literature. The bronte sisters came from a literary family in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England. The sisters, Charlotte (1816–1855), Emily (1818–1848), and Anne (1820–1849), became well known poets and novelists, but like many contemporary female writers, they originally published their poems and novels under male alias, Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell. However, their stories became classics of English literature. Charlotte's Jane Eyre was the first to know success, while Emily's Wuthering Heights, Anne's The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and other works were later to be accepted as masterpieces. Jane Austen, (1775–1817), from Hampshire, England was a novelist known principally for her five major novels, Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Emma and Northanger Abbey.
