Apollo 11 Computing Power

The Apollo moon mission computers were amazing devices for their time, but even the on-board navigation and guidance plus the ground based mainframes pale in comparison to the technology built into the most basic smartphone today. That’s how far integrated circuitry and software have come over the past 50 years. What will we have when the next space missions launch to other planets or even the stars? Such advanced computing technology is mind boggling today, but may become commonplace in consumer electronics in the future.
