Antique Grandfather Clock Quadratische Wanduhr

I photographed the face of an antique grandfather clock to produce this modern wall clock. Grandfather clocks always bring back memories of my childhood for me. But the big clocks with their swinging pendulums and chimes no longer fit in my lifestyle or my small apartment. This old clock now lives on as a modern quartz wall clock which would look good in the dining room, living room or bedroom. I tried to capture the brushed metal trimmings and embossed cherubs. When I took this photograph the old clock breathed life once again, sparkling, revealing the genius of the clock designer who captured not only time but displayed that time in the most elegant way imaginable.
